Something I haven’t mentioned yet in a post: I was able to upgrade my digital camera this year! I have been shooting with a Canon t3i since high school and it just wasn’t cutting it as I started doing fast-paced weddings and wanted to shoot more video. This is one of the first photos I took with my EOS R back in May! Now I have two weddings under my belt with this camera and I’m stoked about the results. I’m also excited to get back into digital creative projects now that I feel confident in my equipment again. Film will always be my go-to, but it feels great to be inspired in a different way!

When I’m ready to part ways with my t3i, I’m going to look into donating it and its accessories to the @blkarchivist project! The Black Archivist project is a super neat initiative started by @pauloctavious to put more cameras into the hands of Black people. Visit @blkarchivist to learn more, apply for a camera, donate equipment, or donate to their Venmo! 📸
